Back to School is not just for kids

 

August 5, 2009LIVONIA, MI— August tends to bring the mindset of fall and “back to school”. The Continuing Education and Professional Development Department (CEPD) at Schoolcraft College would like to remind everyone that back to school is not just for kids! “We are here to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the community and the current demand is in career retraining. Whether someone has recently been laid off, re-entering the workforce or just looking to transition into a new career, Schoolcraft College can provide them with an effective strategy to achieve their goals,” says Sherry Zylka, Associate Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. 

   
            Schoolcraft College offers training and certificate programs in becoming a personal fitness trainer, professional pharmacy technician and a conflict resolution specialist. These certificate programs are eligible for  MI Works! funding if the student qualifies through the No Worker Left Behind program.
            For those who may have the need and/or desire to continue their professional development and increase their skill set, we offer many management and small business classes that can help with that pursuit. Of course, we continue to offer our renowned culinary seminars, as well as a wide variety of personal enrichment and physical fitness classes to help people unwind and stay healthy.  The class selection is endless and we have something for everyone to get back to school.
            Schoolcraft offers morning, afternoon and evening courses throughout the year both on campus and online giving individuals the flexibility to learn at their own pace.
