Schoolcraft hosting Career Fair for high school students April 21

     Area high school students are invited to participate in a night of career exploration at Schoolcraft College on Tuesday, April 21. The High School Career Fair will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center located on Schoolcraft’s main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.
     Students will have the opportunity meet with nearly 40 professionals who are currently working in dozens of fields and industries and find out how college courses relate to the skills needed for future jobs. The Career Fair is free and open to the public.
     Students will also be able to attend several informational sessions throughout the evening including an Overview of Careers and Employability Skills; and Career Opportunities in each of the State of Michigan’s Career Pathways, which include Arts and Communication; Health Sciences; Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial Technology; Human Services; National Resources and Agriscience; and Business, Management, Marketing and Technology.
     Some of the professionals that will be on hand include an interior designer, financial advisor, orthodontist, librarian, polic officer, social worker, special agen, parks resources manager, wildlife manager, physical therapist, surgical nurse, aerospace engineer, automotive service technician, disc jockey and many more.
