St. Clair Trio to perform free concert April 8

On Wednesday, April 8 The St. Clair Trio will perform a free concert at noon in the Presentation Room of the VisTaTech Center on Schoolcraft College’s main campus in Livonia.
 
The St. Clair Trio, comprised of violinist Yehonatan Berick, cellist Marcy Chanteau and pianist Pauline Martin, has been hailed as “magnificent” by Strad Magazine and drew international attention with the release of “Hobson’s Choice,” their first compact disc in a series with Koch International Classics. Since its 1989 debut at the Mackinac Island Music Festival, this Detroit-based ensemble has appeared at a host of regional music series and festivals and performed on nationally broadcast programs in Washington and Chicago.

The St. Clair Trio will be performing Piano Trio No. 1 in E flat major, Op. 1, No. 1, by Beethoven and Mendelssohn’s Trio in D minor, Op. 49 during this final concert in the Schoolcraft College’s Noon Concert Series for the 2008-09 season. This free concert series is sponsored by the Schoolcraft Liberal Arts Office and Music Department.

Schoolcraft College is a public two-year college, offering classes at the Livonia campus, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads, at the Radcliff Center in Garden City and online at schoolcraft.edu.
