Jan. 16 is Schoolcraft College Night with the Plymouth Whalers

The Plymouth Whalers are excited to invite Schoolcraft College students, staff, faculty and alumni to their game on Friday, Jan. 16 at 7:05p.m. Tickets are available at a special discounted price of only $9 per executive reserved ticket. The Whalers will be facing the Barrie Colts at Compuware Arena, 14900 Beck Road, just north of the M-14 exit in Plymouth.

Currently eight members of the Whalers attend Schoolcraft College, continuing their educational pursuits while playing in the Ontario Hockey League, the top developmental league for the National Hockey League. This is a great opportunity for the Schoolcraft community to come out and support the team and see tomorrow’s NHL star players today. NHL stars like Wayne Gretzky, Steve Yzerman, Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, Eric Staal, and Patrick Kane all played at one time in the OHL.

In addition, the Whalers and Schoolcraft College will be celebrating the 100th broadcast of a Whalers game produced by the college’s Media Services department for Schoolcraft College Sports Networks.

Students and staff will also have the opportunity to meet and greet several of the Whalers players when they visit the main campus in Livonia to sign autographs and distribute a limited number of free tickets to students on Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 10:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Henry’s.
