Schoolcraft names new Cross Country Coach

       Edward H. Kozloff, Ph.D., has been named as the new coach for the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams for Schoolcraft College.
       Dr. Kozloff brings with him a wealth of experience. He retired from the Warren Consolidated Schools in 2005 after 36 years of teaching a variety of subjects and coaching track and swimming. In addition to his experience in the public school system, he has also coached track and cross country teams at the collegiate level at University of Michigan-Dearborn and Highland Park Community College.
       A resident of Huntington Woods, Dr. Kozloff has been very active in the metropolitan Detroit running circuit, having served in a variety of leadership positions with the Motor City Striders since 1972, including as the renowned running club’s president since 1975. He has also served as race director for over 900 running events including such races as the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, Detroit Free Press International Marathon, Race for the Cure and St. Patrick’s Day Corktown Races.
       After serving in the US Army Reserves as a Medical Corpsman in the early 1960s, Dr. Kozloff earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University, Master of Science degree from University of Colorado and his doctorate from Florida State University.
       “We are very pleased to have Dr. Kozloff join Schoolcraft,” said director of athletics, Sid Fox. “He brings integrity and tremendous coaching experience to our Cross Country programs. The college will benefit academically and athletically from his presence on our campus.”
