Schoolcraft India Trade Briefing set for October 25

Michigan businesses curious about exporting abroad can explore market opportunities in India at a Schoolcraft College trade briefing Wednesday, Oct. 25. As preparation for a February 18, 2007 trade mission to India, the briefing will include information on exploring the Indian market, marketing Michigan products to India, and partnership opportunities with Indian firms.

Participants will take part in a phone conference, industry specific discussion, focusing on safety and security, food processing equipment, informational technology, energy, pollution control, medicine, education and automotive parts and components.

The three-day trade mission to New Delhi in February 2007 will be led by officials from the U.S. Commercial Service, and will include meetings with business representatives and limited free time for historical and cultural visits.

The briefing is organized by the Business Development Center at Schoolcraft College, with support from Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration, the U.S. Export Assistance Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Van Andel Global Trade Center.

Schoolcraft College is a public two-year college, offering classes at the Livonia campus on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile roads, at the Radcliff Center in Garden City and online.
