Schoolcraft bowling team brings home doubles national title and All-American honors

Schoolcraft College's bowling team is celebrating a national championship for its men's doubles team, strong showings from other teams at the national tournament, and an All-American designation for one of its bowlers.
Schoolcraft's bowlers competed in the National Junior College Athletic Association's national tournament March 2-3 in Buffalo, New York. The men's doubles team of Chris Diaz and Colin Harris bested 48 teams to take first place with a score of 1,185. Patrick St. Onge and Sean Diaz finished 22nd with 1,040 while Jason Jesse and Benjamin Berger took 31st with 975. Overall the men finished 10th out of 17 colleges competing.
Schoolcraft entered one women's doubles team. Kim Landon and Amber Cummins finished fourth out of 25 teams with a score of 1,001. There were 57 bowlers in women's singles. Schoolcraft placed Landon at seventh, Cummins at 30th and Julianne Ayers at 42nd. Landon earned All-American honors. This is the third year in a row that Schoolcraft's bowling team, coached by Greg Colling, has had an All-American.
There were 103 competitors in men's singles. Schoolcraft placed Chris Diaz at 52nd, Jesse at 57th, St. Onge at 64th, Sean Diaz at 72nd, Harris at 74th, Berger at 76th and Jared Gross at 101st.
