New Admissions and Enrollment Center convenient

When fall registration begins on Monday, July 9, incoming students will find they have one convenient place to go to take care of all admission and registration functions. The new office was created by merging Admissions with the registration function of the Registrar’s Office.

In its trial run to admit and register students for the spring and summer terms, the new office handled as many students on the first day as there were for the first day of fall 2006 registration. It operated very smoothly.

Roped off lines keep student traffic moving and easily directed to the next open associate. Front counter associates are there only to help students — they do not even take phone calls. This fall, each one is trained to do both registration and admissions. Computers opposite the counter allow students to register and pay online, and get help with WebAdvisor if they are having problems.
