Register now for Kids on Campus summer day camp sessions July 11- August 5
This is the 32nd year of the Kids on Campus program and this year will include some exciting new offerings for children entering the first through twelfth grades in the fall. The Kids on Campus 'summer camp’ format features exciting week-long sessions centered on a particular subject that are designed to inspire a desire to learn while nurturing a child’s curiosity and creativity. With emphasis on hands-on experimentation and maximizing the opportunity to focus on one special area of interest, Kids on Campus provides some very unique learning opportunities that generally can’t be found in the traditional classroom.
Kids on Campus will be bigger and better than ever with four, one-week sessions (July 11-15, 18-22, and 25-29 and August 1-5). Sessions include everything from Robotics, to Myth Busters, X-treme Rocketry, Culinary Arts Boot Camp, Create Your Own Video Game, Aviation and Aerospace, Camp Scrubs (with a healthcare focus), Machine Adventures in High-Tech Manufacturing, Crime Detectives, Art Arcade, Acting Adventures, All Star Chess and Science Safari, just to name a few.
In addition to the Kids on Campus sessions, Schoolcraft College also offers a series of Academic Skills Workshops for students in the sixth through twelfth grades. These workshops include skills enhancement sessions for study skills, English, basic math, algebra, intermediate algebra, geometry, advanced algebra and trigonometry as well as Keyboarding and Basic Word Processing; Successful Reading Skills for Middle School Students, Pre-Algebra and Algebra Readiness, and Navigating the College Application Process.
