Friday Evening Recital Series features all-Beethoven program on Fri., Mar. 15

On Fri., Mar. 15, violinist Yehonatan Berick and pianist Pauline Martin will perform as part of Schoolcraft College's 2012-13 Friday Evening Concert Series.  The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads. Tickets are $20 per person and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased by calling 734-462-4403.

A prizewinner at the 1993 Naumburg competition and a recipient of the 1996-97 Prix Opus, Berick is in high demand internationally as soloist, recitalist, chamber musician (on violin as well as on viola) and pedagogue. His busy concert schedule has already taken him throughout North America, Europe and Israel.  He is currently Professor of Violin at the University of Michigan.

Martin continues to earn world-class recognition for her solo and chamber music performances and recordings. She has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the New American Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra London Canada and others, and appears regularly with the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings.

Berick and Martin will perform an all-Beethoven program featuring Sonatas No. 1, No. 5 ("Spring") and No. 9 ("Kreutzer").
