It’s fun, it’s free and it’s fantastic. For the ninth year, Schoolcraft’s Livonia campus will host the Michigan Jazz Festival. Nearly 30 bands, all from southeast Michigan, will entertain thousands on Sunday, July 20 from noon until 9:15 p.m.

Between 5,000 and 6,000 people attend the festival each year, and with four of the five stages indoors, they can enjoy the music without worrying about the weather. Schoolcraft Food Services offers plenty of tasty items, and it’s easy to make this an all-day outing.

Parking and attendance are free, and patrons mix and mingle with other jazz lovers, buy CDs and talk to their favorite performers, and get a great overview of just how much talent lives in the area.
