Parents and students are invited to Middle School College Night, Tues., Mar. 12
It’s never too early to start planning for college. Area middle school-age students and their parents are invited to Schoolcraft College’s annual Middle School College Night event in the VisTaTech Center on Tues., Mar. 12, from 4:30- 7:30 p.m. Representatives from 15 Michigan colleges and universities will be on hand as well as experts from the State of Michigan to discuss options for paying for college.
Theatre Department presents special interpretation of "Hamlet" during March and April
Schoolcraft College’s Theatre Department presents Dinner Theatre performances of Hamlet on Mar. 22-23 and Apr. 5-6, and Theatre performances Apr. 12-13, 2013. The Dinner Theatre performances begin at 6:30 p.m. with a delicious dinner served in the VisTaTech Center followed by the performance at 8 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Theatre on the college’s main campus in Livonia. Tickets are $24 for Dinner Theatre performances and $12 for Theatre only performances.
Local author will discuss "The Twelve Gifts of Life" at Transition Center Luncheon
Local author, Cindy Champnella, will discuss her new book, The Twelve Gifts of Life, on Fri., Apr. 5, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. as part of the Transition Center's luncheon series. The luncheon and presentation will be held in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia. Tickets are $20 per person and include lunch. Reservations must be made in advance by Fri., Mar. 29.
Take a trip around the world at annual Multicultural Fair on March 28
Now in its twelfth year, the Multicultural Fair features cultural displays, performances, language demonstrations, and ethnic snacks. This fair is free and open to the public and will be held Thurs., Mar. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center.

Schoolcraft College music faculty members perform free concert Wed., Mar. 20
On Wed., Mar. 20, 2013, four accomplished members of the Schoolcraft College Music Department's faculty will perform a free concert at noon in the VisTaTech Center, located on the college's main campus in Livonia, on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.
Friday Evening Recital Series features all-Beethoven program on Fri., Mar. 15
On Fri., Mar. 15, violinist Yehonatan Berick and pianist Pauline Martin will perform as part of Schoolcraft College's 2012-13 Friday Evening Concert Series. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center on the college's main campus in Livonia. Tickets are $20 per person and $10 for students.

Professionals and the community invited to annual Public Safety Expo, Tues., Mar. 19
Schoolcraft College’s annual Public Safety Expo will be held Tues., Mar. 19, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. Potential employers will be on hand to accept resumes and answer questions about their programs. The expo is free and the public is invited.
Parents can learn more about Schoolcraft's Children's Center during Full-Day Kindergarten Open House Wed., Mar. 6
On Wed., Mar. 6, 2013, Schoolcraft College's Children’s Center will host an Open House for its Full-Day Kindergarten Program from 7 - 9 p.m. The Children's Center is the college's onsite child care facility that is open to the public. It is located on the college’s main campus in Livonia on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.
Students, faculty and community invited to special "Stop the Violence" panel discussion event Thurs., Mar. 21
Pageturners and the college's Counseling Department will host a special interactive "Stop the Violence" panel discussion event on Thurs. Mar. 21, 2013, at 11:15 a.m. in the McDowell Center. The book, We Need to Talk about Kevin, will be the focus of the event and additional book discussions scheduled for Mar. 21 and 25-26.
School-age children and parents can learn more about piano instruction programs at Open House on Mar. 23
On Sat., Mar. 23 from 2 - 5 p.m. children and their parents are invited to attend an Open House to learn more about Schoolcraft’s Summer Piano Camp (Jun. 24-28) and the college's Piano Academy (32 weeks beginning in Sept.). Guests will be able to meet with Piano Academy teachers and hear current Academy students perform. The Open House will be held in the Forum Building on the college’s main campus in Livonia.
