"Fresh Water: Women Writing on the Great Lakes" is Pageturners selection for March

A collection of nonfiction works by women writers focusing on the Great Lakes will be the focus of discussion March 28-29 and 31. Copies of the book are available at a signifcant discount in the Schoolcraft College Bookstores.

Pianist Panayis Lyras performs April 1 at 8 p.m.

Grammy-nominated trumpeter to perform at concert April 18

A special spring-themed concert Monday, April 18, 2011 will feature world-renowned trumpeter, Wayne Bergeron.  The “Up Jumped Spring” concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center. The concert will also feature performances by the college’s Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Improvisation Combo, and Synthesizer Ensemble. Tickets for the concert are $15 for general admission, $10 for students (with identification) and seniors, and $5 for children under 12.

2011 Multicultural Fair celebrates diversity

More than two dozen nations and cultures will be represented at the 2011 Multicultural Fair, an international celebration organized by students for the benefit of the college and the community. The fair will be held in the VisTaTech Center on Thursday, March 31 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The annual Public Safety Expo will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. Potential employers will be on hand to accept resumes and answer questions about their programs. The expo is free and the public is invited.
