Schoolcraft is a host site for College Goal Sunday February 14
Those who plan to attend college this fall can get assistance completing their federal financial aid forms during College Goal Sunday Sunday, February 14 at Schoolcraft College's main campus in Livonia.
Free concert featuring local talent at noon on Feb. 24
Schoolcraft College’s Music Department will present a free concert on Wednesday, February 24. Members of the Plymouth Symphony will perform under the direction of nationally acclaimed Music Director and Conductor, Nan Washburn.
“King Lear” to be performed weekends in March and April
During March and April, Schoolcraft College’s Theatre Department will present Shakespeare’s “King Lear.” Tickets are available at www.scboxoffice.com, in the college’s Bookstore on the main campus in Livonia, or by calling 734-462-4596.

Pink Zone on Feb. 17 proceeds will support breast cancer research
The Pink Zone event features a doubleheader of basketball versus Henry Ford Community College. All proceeds from the evening’s festivities will benefit the Kay Yow WBCA Breast Cancer Research Fund. Tickets for the basketball games, which begin at 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men, are only $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
"Down in the D!" historical presentation and luncheon is Feb. 19
The Transition Center will host Dr. Ken Stevens, professor, Eastern Michigan University, Friday, February 19, for a luncheon and presentation of “Down in the D!” a ‘walking’ tour of Detroit. Tickets are $16 person and can be ordered by calling 734-462-4443.
International Institute: The Armenian Genocide and Its Impact Today on Feb. 23
Marjorie K. Nanian, adjunct professor of political science, will use documentary images as she explains how events leading up to and including World War I continues to impact the world today. This presentation is a part of the International Institute's Focus: Middle East program.
Massage Therapy Clinic offers $25 one-hour massages
Students in the Schoolcraft College Massage Therapy program will be providing one-hour massages for $25 on Saturdays, April 3 & 10, 2010. Appointments are necessary. Please call 734-462-4746.
19th Annual Collage Concert is March 13
On Saturday, March 13 at 8 p.m. area music fans will have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a wide-ranging selection of music featuring several of Schoolcraft College's ensembles and soloists. Homeland Security Program at Schoolcraft College 2009-10
Following the terrorist attacks on the U.S. in 2001, the security industry has seen tremendous growth, both in the number of jobs to be filled and in the scope of the work security professionals perform. One of the fastest growing specialties in this field is homeland security.
Orwell's classic "1984" to be discussed in February
Dr. Mark Huston, professor of philosophy, will lead a special Panel Discussion about George Orwell's classic novel, "1984," on Tuesday, February 23 at 1:30 in the VisTaTech Center. Regular discussions of “1984” will be Monday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bradner Library and at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 at the Radcliff Center in Garden City.
Kindergarten Open House is March 3
Parents with children preparing to enter Kindergarten this fall are invited to attend an Open House Wednesday, March 3, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., at the Children's Center, the college's onsite childcare center.
