While Schoolcraft College’s Culinary Arts Department has a national reputation for quality, creativity, and culinary excellence, it’s our students who have taken that knowledge and passion and have continued to carve names for themselves at some of America’s and Europe’s most-recognized restaurants.
Since 1964, the college has made a commitment to train gourmet-level chefs – a commitment that is strengthened by the hiring of Certified Master Chefs and Certified Executive Chefs. We also made a commitment to train them in one of the most advanced teaching kitchens in the country – a $27 million dollar, state-of-the-art facility. Today, seven full-time faculty members, and 13 adjunct faculty and culinary assistants, teach almost 150 students a year. If that’s not a recipe for success, we don’t know what is.
